چکیده
A set is a collection of elements chosen from some domain. If S is a finite set, we use the notation |S| to denote the number of elements or cardinality of the set. The empty set is denoted by ∅. By A∪B (respectively A∩B, A− B) we mean the union of the two sets A and B (respectively intersection and set difference). The notation A means the complement of the set A with respect to some assumed universal set U ; that is, A = {x ∈ U : x ∈ A}. Finally, 2 denotes the power set, or set of all subsets, of A. Some special sets that we talk about includeN = {0, 1, 2, 3, . . .}, the natural numbers, and Z = {. . . ,−3,−2,−1, 0, 1, 2, 3, . . .}, the integers.

Multidimensional fuzzy finite tree automata
This paper introduces the notion of multidimensional fuzzy finite tree automata (MFFTA) and investigates its closure properties from the area of automata and language theory. MFFTA are a superclass of fuzzy tree automata whose behavior is generalized to adapt to multidimensional fuzzy sets. An MFFTA recognizes a multidimensional fuzzy tree language which is a regular tree language so that for e...

In this paper we survey some surprising connections between group theory, the theory of automata and formal languages, the theory of ends, infinite games of perfect information, and monadic second-order logic.
متن کاملSoftware Support for Formal Languages Courses
An introductory formal languages course exposes students to automata theory, grammars, constructive proofs, computability, and decidability. This exposure usually comes late in the undergraduate curriculum or early in the graduate curriculum. In either setting, programming-oriented students find these topics to be challenging or, in many cases, overwhelming and on the fringe of Computer Science...

متن کاملFunctional Automata - Formal Languages for Computer Science Students
An introductory formal languages course exposes advanced undergraduate and early graduate students to automata theory, grammars, constructive proofs, computability, and decidability. Programming students find these topics to be challenging or, in many cases, overwhelming and on the fringe of Computer Science. The existence of this perception is not completely absurd since students are asked to ...
